Number Four!

Yesterday I finished the first draft of a new story. It’s cute, it’s funny, it’s packed with jungle creatures, and yes, it’s in rhyme!

I’ve been pondering for a while but when I finally got started, the writing took five days over a period of two weeks. Many of the lists of facts – haven’t actually made it into the story but will be very useful for future presentations in schools around the world. And as usual I have learned a lot along the way.

The next challenge is to create the main character; time for the fun stuff…

The Braeburn fish have arrived!

Fifteen fabulous fish have just arrived from Braeburn Nanyuki School in Kenya. They made their marathon journey in record time and were very happy to  be welcomed by shoals of fish from all over the world!

Congratulations to the Young Illustrators and their teacher Ms Songoro.

A large shoal of fish just left Braeburn School, Nanyuki in Kenya. They are on their way to join Cosmos and friends. Safe journey – it’s a very long swim! We’re waiting for you!

Phew! That was close!

Thank goodness the angel fish was there to protect them or Sharky might have made a tasty meal out of the strawberry pink jelly fish and the stripy rainbow fish.

Five Fabulous Fish!

These five fabulous fish have been swimming as fast as their fins and tails would let them all the way from Hong Kong and Kenya. Welcome to the shoal!

Hong Kong Shoal Increases!

Wow! The children in Hong Kong have sent me so many fish I had to make two pages!

Now you’ll really have to search carefully to find your fish!

Lots of smiles,

Gail

Slippery Fish!

Three very slippery Tamms  fish got away when I was putting the Hong Kong shoal together for the Fish Competition – Your Pictures page. I’ve now got them safely in my net and they’ll be joining the rest on the page tomorrow with a couple of others that also tried to escape!

In the meantime, here are the three Tamms escapees! Thank you Ethan, Asha and Shae Tamms.
